Parade of Homes
Some of you may have never heard or participated in a Parade of Homes before. Therefore, you may be asking yourself what it is that we are even referring to! So let’s take a moment and learn about what a Parade of Homes is and why you should come on out and enjoy the fun with us.
A Parade of Homes is a showcase of new homes that is held annually in several areas throughout the United States. Another name that may be used is the Tour of Homes, but both are most often presented by the local Home Builders Association (HBA) or Building Industry Association (BIA). The very first tour was established in Minnesota in 1948. Usually, a Parade of Homes tour will showcase high-end, designer homes. Some are newly built houses while others are remodeled homes. These showcases may include single-family homes, condominiums, duplexes and town houses. For the Fall Parade of Homes here in Midland this October, the admission is FREE and hosted by the Home Builders Association of Midland.
